PHOTOS AND PROCEEDINGS AVAILABLE NOW Alongside the Congress, the Bristol Robotics laboratory is proud to be hosting the FIRA RoboWorld Cup at Bristol’s leading science and discovery centre, At-Bristol. FIRA robot soccer began in 1995 and the first international championship was held at KAIST, Daejeon, Korea in 1996. The Federation of International Robot-Soccer Association (FIRA) was formally founded in June 1997. The FIRA-Robo World Cup is a world renowned event where international university teams take part in a robotics football competition. This event is open to the public and will be held in one of the UK’s leading science and discovery centres, At-Bristol’s.It is free of charge to visitors from public. The Federation of International Robot-soccer Association (FIRA) Congress is an international conference for researchers, practitioners and students interested in robotics. It will be a forum to share ideas and future directions of robotics technologies and to enlarge human networks in robotics. The Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems (TAROS) is the annual robotics conference in the UK. It is a forum for robotics researchers and industry to discuss the latest results and methods in autonomous robotics, in a friendly environment where they can take stock and plan future progress. The day allows those in the robotics industry to showcase their products to a UK and International audience. Key talks will be given on relevant issues within robotics with the dayproviding ample opportunities for academia and industry to foster and strengthen links.
